EVENT DETAILS
The Wildest Run in the West offers three challenging and scenic trail runs that take runners
through the high reaches of the Sierra Nevada Mountains near Lake Tahoe. All three races start
at Ice Lakes Lodge in Soda Springs.
100K Event Details
Our 100K ultra run starts with a loop through the Royal Gorge Ski Area and then travel along
quiet Forest Service Roads. Participants will connect with the legendary Western State
Endurance Trail for the remaining fifty miles to Foresthill. The course is remote and travels
through difficult and rugged wilderness areas. While the trails and intersections are very
well‐marked, expect to run for many miles without assurance ribbons.
The entire course runs through remote areas. We will provide twelve aid stations, between the
start and finish lines. Each aid station will be well‐stocked with fruit, salty‐snacks, other
traditional ultra foods and electrolyte drinks. It is vitally important that everyone be prepared
